Notes:
The outstanding juvenile stakes program at Woodbine kicks off with the 150,000 Victoria at 5f over the Polytrack. Three 1 st -time-starters, including filly Conquest Whiplash, are among the six entered. The curiously-named No Fruit Degroote is the only open company winner in the bunch, having shipped to Delaware Park to beak his maiden for the Ricky Griffith barn. Bold n Golden, who beat Ontario breds in a late May maiden contest, is the other winner in the field. Irish Media was a non-threatening 3 rd in his only start against open company maidens over this course on 5/19. Ba Ba Brett also hails from the Griffith barn and will make his debut for the same ownership, Debmar Stables, as No Fruit Degroote. He sports a couple of zippy works earlier in the month. Enthrone will be making his debut for trainer Ian Black, who only hits at 4 with firsters. Contrastingly, Conquest Whiplash debuts for the Mark Casse barn that has had tremendous success with youngsters over the last few years.
Victoria Stakes is a horse racing event organized at Woodbine. It has a purse value of 150,000. 2 year old horses that can cover a distance of 5 Furlong may participate in the race.
