Notes: Hillsdale was a famous thoroughbr ed racehorse that used to race in the North American horseracin g circuit. He was owned by Clarence Smith and trained by Martin L. Fallon, Jr. When he was only two years old, he won five important races on both coasts the last of which was the Malibu Stakes that is considered as the first leg of the Strub Series. He captured the winning title in early 1959 by winning the San Fernando Stakes and the Santa Anita Futurity. In the next year, the three-year -old, Hillsdale captured three important stakes title including the seven in a row while finishing second in the other three races. He was retired to dirt and his first foals were born in 1962. He breathed at last in 1973.
