He had started his career with quarter horses and then later to thoroughbreds. He has recorded 8 wins in Remington Park. In 2008, Cliff Berry had 238 mounts and 38 wins in Oaklawn. He placed 4th in season standings at Oaklawn. Horses ridden by Cliff Berry include Raja Omega, Voladora and Maysville Slew. He won his biggest race in 2003 Winstar Distaff at Lone Star lapping up 200,000. He has won the Remington Park jockey title 8 times. He has been galloping horses for 29 years.
