His wife s name is Martha. He had Tow sons John and Mark and one daughter Cathie. He had three grand children Johanna, William and Caton Bredar.


Notes:
Ted began his thoroughbred horse racing career in 1938. He first gained national recognition in 1941. In 1944 he became North America s renowned jockey in terms of both winning numbers and money earned. It was in 1957, when Ted won the George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award. In the same year he was elected as the first active jockey to the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.
