The Grand Prairie Turf Challenge is a thoroughbred horseracing event that is run each year at a distance of one mile on the turf track of Lone Star Park. This race is open to three-year-olds and the name of the stakes is given in honor of the city Grand Prairie, which is also called the home of Lone Star Park.
