The Vinery Racing Spiral Stakes, held annually at Turfway Park and will start this year's Kentucky Derby Prep races on NBC, Versus and CNBC.
The Spiral Stakes is Turfway Park's signature spring time race over 9 furlongs as Kentucky Derby Contenders look to win enough Graded Earnings to get them in the starting gate for the Kentucky Derby presented by Yum! Brands. It debuted back in 1972 when even Turfway Park had a different name but the race itself has never changed and remains a key race in the Road to the Roses!
Last year it was Animal Kingdom who wore the Roses at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky and won the Eclipse award for best 3-year-old male. Who will be this year's winner?
